Margaret Eagen Sullivan Park at Westchester Lagoon, Anchorage, Alaska

Day One Hundred Nineteen: My daughter, Chaco, and I took a stroll at Sullivan Park/Westchester Lagoon. It was a little cool and drizzly but a little rain never stopped me. We saw only a handful of people along the trail and it would have been very peaceful but the birds were squawking at full blast. I’m guessing it’s mating season for the feathered friends. We had fun on the playground swinging and encouraging Chaco to be a circus dog. I’ll definitely return when the weather improves and the sun brings out more people. I have very fond memories of the coastal trail being a lot of fun. I’m also excited to take a bike ride along the inlet and take in the sights.
